- 4 shallots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 cm turmeric
- 2 cm ginger
- 1 tsp shrimp paste (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Fish:
- Clean the fish, remove the scales, and gut it. Cut the fish into 4-5 cm pieces. Rub the fish with a pinch of salt and let it sit for a while to marinate.
2. Prepare the Ground Spices:
- Grind all the ground spice ingredients in a blender or mortar and pestle. You can add a little water if needed to make the spices easier to grind.
3. Cooking the Ikan Pindang:
