Recipe for jam-filled cookies
Ingredients:
For the Cookie Dough:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
Jam (choose one or more):
- Strawberry jam
- Raspberry jam
- Apricot jam
- Blueberry jam
- Peach jam
Instructions:
1. Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Prepare a square or round baking pan by lining the bottom with parchment paper or greasing it with butter and dusting with flour.
2. Making the Cookie Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar until smooth and light in color.
- Add the egg yolk and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring continuously, and add milk slowly until a dough forms.
3. Making the Jam-Filled Cookies:
- Divide the dough into two equal portions.
- Roll out each portion of the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.
- Cut the dough into small squares or circles according to your preference.
- Place half of the cookie pieces into the prepared baking pan.
4. Adding the Jam:
- Take one teaspoon of your favorite jam and place it in the center of each piece of dough in the pan.
- Cover with the remaining pieces of dough.
5. Baking the Cookies:
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown on top.
6. Cooling and Serving:
- After baking, let the jam-filled cookies cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Once the cookies are completely cool, you can enjoy them with a cup of tea or coffee.
