Ingredients:
For the Cookies:
- 200 grams of butter, room temperature
- 50 grams of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 grams all-purpose flour
- 100 grams cornstarch
- 100 grams chopped almonds (optional)
For the Topping:
- Powdered sugar for rolling the cookies
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit).
2. Cream the Butter:In a large bowl, cream the butter with powdered sugar until it's smooth and fluffy. You can use an electric mixer on low speed or do this by hand.
3. Add Vanilla: Add the vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until well combined.
4. Add the Flour: Combine the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Mix until the dough is well blended. You can also add chopped almonds to the dough if you like.
5. Shape the Dough: Take small portions of the dough and shape them into small balls using your hands. You can smooth them by rolling them between your palms.
6. Bake: Place the cookie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the cookies turn golden brown.
7. Coat with Powdered Sugar: Once out of the oven, allow the cookies to cool slightly, then roll them in powdered sugar until completely coated.
